In a world that often celebrates noise over meaning, Dr Desziree Richardson has chosen a different path, one rooted in compassion, purpose, and the power of the human voice. As a vibratory voice healer, international speaker, humanitarian, and founder of global recognition platforms, she has built her work around uplifting others and creating spaces where leadership is defined by heart, not title.
From launching international award initiatives such as the Women of Heart Awards and the Gentlemen of Heart Awards, to empowering women through Face of Woha and spreading positivity through her fashion brand Happy Mood Swagger, Dr Richardson’s journey reflects resilience, faith, and an unwavering commitment to service.
In this exclusive conversation, she opens up about her early beginnings, the deeper meaning behind vibratory voice healing, and her vision for building a more compassionate and confident global community.
1. Can you introduce yourself to our readers and share your journey?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
I am Dr. Desziree Richardson. I am a global speaker, vibratory-voice healer, and creator of several international empowerment and transformation platforms.
I was born in Anguilla and eventually made my career in London. I was brought up in a way that I watched when I was a boy. I observed individuals, especially women, and I observed their power as well as their struggles. That stayed with me.
It has been a very personal experience.
My beginning was in media and broadcasting, which provided me with a good voice and presence. Gradually, I understood that words were not everything in my voice. It was vibrant, emotional, and curative.
That was the finding that altered all the things. It steered me towards the development of platforms that are currently influencing people across the world.

2. What inspired your mission to empower women on a global scale?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
The motivation was based on life experiences. I have been raised witnessing women sacrifice such a large part of themselves, but be ignored. That gave me a great impression that something had to change.
Empowerment was no longer to be a mere word to me. I made it something that women would feel and experience. This is the reason I established forums, which not only acknowledge women but also empower and glorify them.
Once a woman feels loved and appreciated, her whole life changes. She starts to present herself in a new manner. Her change does not end there. It touches upon her family, her work and her community.
3. You are known for vibratory voice healing. How does it work in simple terms?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
Simply stated, it is the voice as a means of healing. Each sound has a vibration, and such vibrations can have an influence on us.
In my case with a person, I pay attention to the tone, frequency, and intention. It is not just about speaking. It is also about forming a space in which one is at ease, secure, and unrestrained.
Individuals normally state that they feel light after a session. Some feel more clarity. Others experience emotional discharge. It is a very natural process. The voice is humanly related directly and effectively.
4. How did your background in media and broadcasting shape who you are today?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
The media contributed enormously to my confidence. It made me learn how to speak out and how to reach out to various audiences.
The experience in radio and broadcasting also taught me timing, tone, and presence. These are the skills that I continue to apply in my modern-day speaking and healing.
Better still, the media demonstrated the strength of communication to me. The right message, which is conveyed in the right manner, can actually be moving. I have always been reminded of that lesson on the way.
5. The Women of Heart Awards (WOHA) has gained global recognition. What is its core purpose?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
The main idea of WOHA is to honor women who are actually changing the world. It is not only those in the limelight but also those behind the scenes.
I also wanted to provide an environment in which women are valued because of their contributions. A place where their narratives are heard. WOHA is concerning the identification of power, compassion, leadership, and resiliency.
It is also about connection. Women are able to learn and grow together when they unite. Power of energy, and it is one of the things I believe in.

6. You also founded the Gentlemen of Heart Awards (GOHA). What inspired this initiative?
Women are able to learn, support, and grow together when they unite. Power of energy, and it is one of the things I believe in.
7. How does the Face of WOHA help shape future leaders?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
The face of WOHA is quite close to my heart. It is aimed to provide women with a voice, particularly those who may not have gotten the chance in the past.
It is not merely the question of being seen. It is about being heard. Women enter the platform with thoughts, vision, and even self-doubt. The experience helps make them confident speakers and leaders.
We concentrate on developing their mental state, their presence and their self-expression skills. At the end, a lot of them become a totally different version of themselves. It is a change that is strong to observe.
8. Your brand, Happy Mood Swagger, connects fashion with emotion. What was the idea behind it?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
The idea was very personal. I have always thought that a dress can make us feel good or bad. In my life, there were situations when I felt more powerful and confident due to my dressing.
Happy Mood Swagger was developed in order to share that with other people. It is not just about clothing. It is energy, confidence, and self-expression.
The brand will be easy, chic, and inspirational. I want an individual to feel good when wearing it. It is that emotional attachment that makes it so.
9. You hold multiple global roles and responsibilities. How do you stay focused and balanced?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
It comes down to clarity. I would not assume roles that do not conform to my purpose. When nothing relates to my mission, then I withdraw from it.
I also believe in structure. By scheduling my time and energy, I will be able to remain productive and not feel overwhelmed.
Meanwhile, I create a space in myself. Balance does not only concern work. It is also for rest, contemplation, and remaining down to earth. That is very important to me.
10. What does true leadership mean to you today?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
In my understanding, leadership is service. It has nothing to do with the titles you have, but with the number of lives you can touch.
A good leader listens. They understand people. They leave room in which they can develop. It is not in the sense of being superior. It is about walking with them.
In the modern world, we should have kind, aware, and responsible leaders. It is the leadership with heart that makes the difference.

11. How do you stay relevant in a fast-changing global environment?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
I stay open to learning. The world evolves very fast, and you must be ready to develop together with it.
Meanwhile, I remain connected to my values. Fashion is a fad; ethos is permanency. Such a balance makes me go on without being lost.
I also listen to people. The knowledge of what people need and feel enables me to be connected and relevant in a meaningful sense.
12. What challenges have shaped you the most in your journey?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
There have been instances of uncertainty. Periods when things were not going well, and I needed to self-reconstruct myself.
Those were the lessons about strength. They taught me that it is usually the struggle that leads to growth. I was taught to have more confidence in myself and never give up, even when I was confused.
In hindsight, those were not disappointments. These were lessons that have contributed to my present identity.
13. What advice would you give to women struggling with confidence and self-worth?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
Begin with yourself and accept yourself. Being powerful does not require you to be perfect.
When one starts trusting their own voice, confidence increases. Time may be required and that is all right. The point is that you should continue moving on.
Also, be kind to yourself. The manner in which you talk to yourself is more important than you think. When you transform that, then all the other things start transforming.
14. How important is emotional intelligence in leadership and personal growth?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
It is very important. Emotional intelligence will enable you to know how you feel or how other people feel.
You make decisions when you know how you feel. You react, rather than respond. That is a huge difference in personal life as well as professional life.
It also assists you in creating greater associations. Individuals relate with those who know them rather than those who are above them.
15. What role does community play in your work and vision?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
Everything that I do is centered on community. None of us can grow alone.
When individuals unite with a goal in mind, there is something mighty. It is supported, learned, and belongs.
The platforms that I establish are designed to make such connections. As individuals feel encouraged, they have more to go out and fulfil their potential to make a change.

16. What message would you share with aspiring leaders who want to create impact?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
Stay true to yourself. People can easily follow through with what they are doing, but impact is real through authenticity.
Be ready to comprehend your reason. As soon as you are straight about that, then everything gets easier. Your choices, your focus, and your assurance all begin to conform.
Also, be patient. Growth takes time. Continue to appear, continue learning, and have faith in your path.
17. You speak a lot about happiness and inner peace. How can people create that in their daily lives?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
Being happy begins with oneself. It is not something that you wait for. It is something you choose.
It is the little things that count. Breathe, get a little bit of thought, and enjoy yourself. Also, know how to let go of what you are not able to control.
Most importantly, be present. When you live your life to the fullest, you start to feel more at ease and related.
18. If you could speak to your younger self, what would you say?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
I would advise her to have more faith in herself. To be able to trust her voice and not need confirmation from others.
I would also inform her that she should not fear making mistakes. Not all experiences, whether good or bad, are without a reason.
And above all, I would remind her to love herself completely. It is the start of real strength.
19. What legacy do you hope to leave behind through your work?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
My legacy should be about love, empowerment, and change that is positive.
I would have people remember that they were seen, heard, and inspired. That they were made strong in themselves on account of something I said or did.
In my case, success can not be defined by achievements. It is gauged by the lives that you touch and the change you bring.

20. What’s next for you and your global platforms?
Dr. Desziree Richardson:
My interest lies in development and a stronger influence. It is a major priority to expand my channels to a greater number of people in various regions of the world.
I should also keep on making valuable moments out of my events, speaking and initiatives. It is always about the same thing to make people feel uplifted, empowered, and united.
I am eager to see what is ahead of me, and there is still much to be done.
